How old does my child have to be before I need to purchase a ticket for him/her?
All children twelve months or older must have a ticket. Children under 12 months must be held by another ticket holder. Infant carriers will require the purchase of a ticket. There are certain sections that have children's discounts, so please be certain to inquire about them when placing your ticket order. Children discounts apply to children 12 years of age and younger.
How early can I show up for the rodeo?
For our PRCA rodeo performances, the admission gates open at 6:00 PM, with the grand entry starting at 7:45 PM, followed by the first section of bull riding at approximately 8:00 PM. On the days of the rodeo slack, the admission gates open at 8:00 AM. and remain open until slack is completed.
Can I bring a camera or video to the rodeo?
This is private property. Dodge City Roundup, Inc. reserves the right to remove any person or persons disrupting, interfering, or otherwise affecting any activity on its premises. The use of photographic or video equipment is authorized, however, any public display or public dissemination of any photos, videos or audio recordings of any Dodge City Roundup event, concert or rodeo is prohibited without the expressed written consent of Dodge City Roundup, Inc.
Will the rodeo still be held if it rains?
The Roundup Arena is an outdoor arena. The rodeo will go on, rain or shine. Our contestants pay their own expenses to the events in which they compete, pay their own entry fees, and only receive a paycheck if they place or win, so we feel it is our obligation to allow them the right to earn their paycheck. However, the safety of our fans, as well as our contestants and their families is of utmost importance to us. In the event of dangerous weather conditions, the event may be postponed until that danger has passed, then resumed to completion.
How many people do I need in my group to receive a group discount?
All you need is a group of twenty (20) or more people for any one rodeo performance to qualify for a group discount. Your group may be made up of family, friends, co-workers, church members, etc. The only requirement is that the entire ticket order be placed at the same time, for the same rodeo performance, with one payment transaction. Please make your group discount known at the beginning of your ticket order.
How much is the group discount?
Orders of twenty (20) or more rodeo tickets, purchased in the same transaction, for the same performance, can be eligible for a three dollar ($3) discount per ticket. Ticket orders may not be split for different performances to qualify for the discount. Please make it known at the start of your order if you believe your order qualifies for a Group Discount.
How will I pay for my tickets?
You may pay for your tickets in person, by telephone or online through our website. Acceptable forms of payment include: cash, money order, personal check, VISA, MasterCard or Discover, if paying in person. Online tickets may only be paid with an accepted credit card. Your tickets cannot be reserved until payment is received. You may have your telephone order tickets mailed to you (there is a cutoff date so that tickets have time to be delivered to your mailing address) or have them held at the "Will Call" window, to be picked up prior to, or the night of the event.
Where will my seats be located? Can my group sit together?
Sections 1-5 are on the south side of the arena. Sections 6-12 are located on the west side of the arena under the overhang of the grandstands. Sections 13-16 are located on the north side of the arena. Row letters begin with A at the bottom and increase the farther up they are.
Ticket orders will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so it is important to turn your order in early to receive the best seats possible. Every effort will be made to accommodate your group and seat them all in the same area,but will be contingent on availability.
Can I cancel my order or get a refund?
All sales are final - refunds, cancellations or exchanges are not permitted. Tickets can be damaged by exposure to heat or sunlight, so care should be taken to avoid such exposure. The resale of tickets for more than the amount paid for the ticket is prohibited.
